Training On Product Origin Certification In The ASEAN Market
On September 15th morning, the city’s Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Import-Export Department and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a training class on the certification of origin of goods in the ASEAN market. The event is one of the top concerns of businesses when Vietnam is participating in many FTA trade agreements.
At the training session, businesses disseminated the rules of the ASEAN Goods Trading Agreement, the mechanism for self-certification of goods origin in ASEAN, and instructions for implementing electronic C/O in VKFTA and AKFTA, meeting the needs of businesses to update information to take advantage of the market proactively.
Representatives of state management agencies, business associations, and more than 200 manufacturing, trading, and import-export enterprises in the city participated in the training.
There are currently 20 C/O incentives granted to businesses exporting to the ASEAN market, with a grant rate of 40.23%. The training class is one of the accompanying activities, supporting businesses to expand access, as well as taking advantage of incentives in FTA markets that Vietnam participates in in general and the ASEAN market in particular, bringing a competitive advantage for Vietnamese businesses in the international arena.
