During August, a special exhibition at the museum takes visitors back to the atmosphere of the 1945 August Revolution – a historic moment when Hai Phong joined the rest of the country in rising up to seize power.

In line with Official Letter No. 1531 issued by the city’s People’s Committee on strengthening tax administration for business households and individuals following the abolition of lump-sum tax, the city’s tax authorities are implementing a range of coordinated measures and working closely with local authorities to help taxpayers switch to the tax filing system, ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate production and business activities.

August 19, 2026 – On the evening of August 19, at the Square of the Xu Dong Cultural Center, the Xu Dong Cheo Theater organized the art program “Proud Melodies” to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2026). The program offered audiences an emotionally rich artistic experience, helping inspire pride in the nation’s revolutionary traditions, love for the homeland and country, and aspirations for the future.

On the afternoon of August 18, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to announce the 2025 Provincial Free Trade Agreement Implementation Index (FTA Index 2025). Hai Phong was honored as one of the five localities in the “Best” group and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
