Hai Phong leaders pay tribute to heroic martyrs and revolutionary Nguyen Duc Canh
On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 – May 13, 2026), on Friday morning a delegation of the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Le Ngoc Chau, a member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and head of the city’s National Assembly delegation, laid wreaths and offered incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at the city’s Martyrs Memorial and the monument of revolutionary Nguyen Duc Canh.
In a solemn atmosphere, the city delegation respectfully offered incense in memory of outstanding sons of Hai Phong who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people. In front of the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the Party organization, authorities, armed forces and people of the city pledged absolute loyalty to the Party’s ideals; promoting the tradition of “Heroic Port City, land of Eastern cultural heritage”, working together in unity and determination to effectively implement socio-economic development tasks, ensure national defense and security, and build Hai Phong together with the country entering a new era, an era of national rise.
At the Nguyen Duc Canh monument, the city delegation respectfully remembered the steadfast communist revolutionary who devoted his life to the revolutionary cause and to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions and sacrifices, the Party organization, authorities, armed forces and people of the city pledged unity and consensus in building a more prosperous and beautiful Hai Phong.
