Supporting taxpayers in switching to tax filling
In line with Official Letter No. 1531 issued by the city’s People’s Committee on strengthening tax administration for business households and individuals following the abolition of lump-sum tax, the city’s tax authorities are implementing a range of coordinated measures and working closely with local authorities to help taxpayers switch to the tax filing system, ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate production and business activities.

With more than 9,100 business households under its management, Tax Office No. 4 has identified supporting taxpayers during the transition to the new management system as a key priority. It has proactively drawn up an implementation plan and worked with commune- and ward-level People’s Committees, residential quarters and relevant agencies to step up communication and disseminate new tax policies to individual and household businesses.

The Hai Phong tax authorities have also stepped coordination with the police, departments, agencies, local authorities and socio-political organizations to build a broad support network, helping business households gain timely and comprehensive access to the new policies.

According to the Hai Phong Tax Department, the city currently has 97,690 active business households. More than 4,900 of them have annual revenue exceeding VND1 billion, accounting for about 5.86% of all active households. Alongside strengthening tax administration, the city’s tax authorities are placing particular emphasis on providing support and resolving difficulties to help business households adapt to the new management system.
