Improving meals for workers
In addition to helping employees restore their energy and maintain their health during working hours, shift meals also reflect the social responsibility of businesses in caring for the well-being of their workforce.

According to the Hai Phong Confederation of Labur, around 1,600 enterprises and organizations currently provide shift meals for their employees. Many businesses have increased the value of these meals or added fruit and beverages to better meet workers' nutritional and energy needs. At the same time, ensuring food safety and hygiene, together with strengthening regular and direct supervision by enterprise-level trade unions, remains essential.

In addition to improving nutritional quality and offering more diverse menus, many enterprises have upgraded their dining facilities, providing clean, spacious, and comfortable canteens where employees can relax and relieve stress after working hours.

To celebrate the 97th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Hai Phong Confederation of Labour will organize the "Trade Union Meal" program throughout July at collective kitchens in numerous government agencies, organizations, and businesses. According to preliminary surveys, approximately 135,000 union members and workers from grassroots trade unions are expected to participate. The Hai Phong Confederation of Labour will provide approximately 27 tons of rice to support the program. This meaningful initiative highlights the trade union's commitment to standing alongside workers and providing timely, practical, and ongoing care for their well-being.
