In Tran Phu Commune, the review and preparation for collecting biological samples from remains of fallen soldiers with missing information are being carried out urgently. The commune currently has five cemeteries with more than 700 graves of fallen soldiers, including 13 graves whose identities have not been determined and require biological sampling. 

In Viet Hoa Ward, there are three cemeteries with 17 graves of fallen soldiers whose identities remain undetermined, which will be sampled in this round. At Lai Cách Martyrs’ Cemetery alone, 13 graves are being urgently handled by functional forces.

Hai Phong aims to complete the sampling of fallen soldiers’ remains at all cemeteries before 24 August 2026, three months ahead of the schedule assigned by the city’s Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 3. To date, the city has organized sampling at more than 200 cemeteries across 90 communes, wards and special zones; exhumed more than 2,430 graves and collected biological samples from more than 1,860 sets of remains./.
