For 11 consecutive years, Hai Phong has maintained double-digit economic growth, ranking among the country's leading localities. Synchronously developed transport infrastructure, the continued expansion of industrial parks and economic zones, and an improving investment and business environment have provided a solid foundation for the city's economic breakthrough and underpin its target of average annual GRDP growth of over 13% during 2026-2030.
To achieve this goal, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee has adopted an action program featuring a range of coordinated measures, focusing on three main pillars: high-tech industrial development, modern logistics services, and the development of smart, green and sustainable urban areas.
Key tasks and solutions have been outlined, with particular emphasis on fundamentally renewing the growth model and restructuring the economy towards a modern and sustainable direction; developing industry in a modern, smart, high value-added and environmentally friendly manner; encouraging the development of eco-industrial parks and high-tech industrial parks; establishing large-scale logistics centers; promoting e-commerce; and raising the FTA Index into the country's top three.
