Total FDI attracted in the second quarter is estimated at USD 1.965 billion, reaching 218.3% of the plan. Total FDI attracted in the first six months of the year is estimated at more than USD 2.8 billion, reaching 79.3% of the annual target. This brings the cumulative number of FDI projects in the city to an estimated 1,060, with total registered investment of nearly USD 46 billion. Notably, FDI has not only provided an important source of investment capital but has also contributed to economic restructuring, innovation in growth models, green development and the formation of several key industries. Revenue generated in industrial parks and economic zones also increased, while construction output reached 42.2% of the annual plan.
