On the morning of April 29, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for Tourism Development, chaired a meeting to assess the current situation of tourism development and implement key tasks for 2026. At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing preparations for the 2026 summer tourism season in key areas and agreed on the task of developing dossiers to propose recognition of Cat Ba and Con Son – Kiep Bac as National Tourist Sites. The Steering Committee also clearly defined the requirement to develop the city’s tourism in a sustainable direction, strengthen environmental management in tourism, ensure security and safety, and improve service quality. At the same time, it emphasized promoting digital transformation, building a smart tourism ecosystem, enhancing regional linkages, and developing distinctive tourism products associated with the concept of “one journey – multiple experiences.”
