Port infrastructure fee collection continues to grow
Since the beginning of the year, the Hai Phong Inland Waterway Port Authority has worked closely with relevant agencies to collect fees for the use of infrastructure facilities, services and public utilities in the Hai Phong seaport gateway area. Revenue has recorded solid growth compared with the same period last year, contributing positively to the city's budget collection.

Rising cargo throughput in the first months of the year has provided a boost to port infrastructure fee collection. In the first five months of 2026, revenue collected by the Inland Waterway Port Authority increased by 10-14%.
Revenue was generated across all categories of cargo, including temporary imports for re-export, transshipment cargo, bonded warehouse cargo, transit cargo and regular import-export shipments. The authority also coordinated with customs authorities to conduct post-clearance reconciliations.
The expanded application of information technology and improvements to collection methods have helped facilitate customs clearance and fee payments for businesses engaged in import-export, logistics and customs services.
The authority aims to collect 1.5 trillion VND in port infrastructure fees for the full year.
