Closing ceremony of 14th Viet Nam trade union congress held in Ha Noi
The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union entered its third day this morning and concluded in success. Member of the Politburo, Prime Minister Le Minh Hưng, along with representatives of central ministries, departments and agencies, attended the congress.
During the working session, the Prime Minister held talks with delegates at the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union under the theme: “The Viet Nam Trade Union accompanies the Government in improving labor productivity and achieving double-digit growth targets.”
Delegates raised a number of questions and discussed issues related to improving labor productivity, raising workers’ incomes, promoting innovation emulation movements, and workers’ housing, among other practical issues.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the frank opinions reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers, as well as policy proposals for workers, which he said would contribute to helping the Government achieve double-digit growth targets.
Also this morning, the congress announced election results. Accordingly, 135 members to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 14th term (2026–2031) were elected.
At its first meeting, the Executive Committee elected a 27-member Standing Committee and a 15-member Inspection Committee.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Comrade Nguyễn Anh Tuấn was re-elected as Chairman for the 14th term (2026–2031).
The Hai Phong City Federation of Labor has four representatives elected to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 14th term. Nguyễn Anh Tuân, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Federation of Labor, was re-elected as a member of the Standing Committee for the 14th term.
