In the first six months of 2026, Hai Phong is estimated to have welcomed more than 8.72 million visitors, including over 613,000 international arrivals. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 10.425 trillion. In June alone, the city welcomed around 2.58 million visitors, generating nearly VND 3.1 trillion in tourism revenue. During the peak summer season, many tourist destinations and attractions recorded sharp increases in visitor numbers. Cat Ba Island is estimated to have welcomed nearly 855,000 visitors, while the Do Son tourist area received around 610,000 visitors. Alongside developing new tourism products, Hai Phong also stepped up destination promotion, recognized nine additional establishments as meeting Green Tourism criteria, and designated the Vu Yen Tourist Area as a provincial-level tourist area, helping improve service quality and strengthen the tourism sector's competitiveness. These results provide a solid foundation for Hai Phong's tourism industry to maintain its growth momentum in the second half of the year, with the aim of becoming a key economic sector and contributing further to the city's overall economic growth.
