Deputy Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Nguyen Minh Hung, has approved the proposal from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vingroup Joint Stock Company to organize fireworks at the amusement park, residential area, and ecological park on Vu Yen Island. The Deputy Chairman requested that during the implementation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the City Public Security, the City Military Command, the People’s Committee of Thuy Nguyen Ward, and Vingroup Joint Stock Company carry out their assigned functions and tasks; ensure full compliance with security, safety, fire prevention, and explosive material management regulations; organize standby forces and control the area to guarantee safety for residents and visitors. Specifically, the program is expected to include both low- and high-altitude fireworks; the duration will not exceed 15 minutes; and it will be held from 19:00 to 22:00 on holidays, Lunar New Year, and Saturdays and Sundays weekly, from January 3, 2026, to February 7, 2027. The funding will come from socialized sources.
