Determined to complete 32,900 social housing units in 2026-2030
Hai Phong City strives to complete 32,900 social housing units in the 2026–2030 period. To achieve this goal, social housing development will closely follow central government policies, align with the city’s overall planning and new development space, and proactively address bottlenecks to unlock resources and accelerate implementation progress.
To achieve the target, the city prioritizes planning and developing projects in the eastern area to meet demand from officials, civil servants and workers relocating for work. At the same time, it will reasonably plan projects in the western area to ensure housing needs for workers in industrial zones.
Detailed planning for low-rise social housing projects will be reviewed and adjusted by increasing building height and reducing construction density to optimize land use efficiency.
In addition, alongside ensuring timely and quality implementation of projects, the city is directing relevant agencies to review home purchase procedures, ensuring equal access for people with the fastest and simplest processes, without any additional costs beyond those stipulated.
