Hai Phong offers free medical care and gifts on occasion of war invalids and martyrs day
Ahead of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Hai Phong Party Agencies Delegation, together with local partners, on Saturday morning, organized a program providing free medical examinations, health consultations, medicines and gifts to people with meritorious service and policy beneficiary families in Nguyen Dai Nang Ward. Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan attended the event.
Doctors from Hai Duong General Hospital, DND Hai Duong International Eye Hospital and the Vietnam Institute of Marine Medicine provided medical examinations, health consultations and free medicines to 150 former youth volunteers, war veterans, people with meritorious service and members of policy beneficiary families in the ward.
The delegation presented 150 gift packages and 16 additional gifts to people with meritorious service, policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged residents. It also organized a commemorative meal at the home of war invalid Tran Van Dỉnh in Thai Thinh residential area.
The program reflects Vietnam's tradition of honoring those who contributed to the nation while helping improve the health and living of people with meritorious service and policy beneficiary families.
