Land clearance accelerated for Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway project
The project needs to require 150,389.2 square metres of land in Kien Minh Commune, including 64,123.8 square meters of agricultural land affecting 125 households and 11,709.6 square meters of residential land involving 115 households.
Authorities have released a draft compensation and support plan covering more than 55,924 square meters of agricultural land to be acquired from 105 households in Phong Cau and Phong Quang villages.
Identifying land clearance as a key factor in ensuring the disbursement of public investment funds and the implementation of the project, local authorities have stepped up public outreach to build support among residents. Working groups have regularly visited villages and met with affected households to listen to their concerns and explain policies on compensation, support and resettlement.
The Ninh Binh-Hai Phong Expressway is one of Hai Phong's key transport infrastructure projects. Once completed, it will help complete the planned expressway corridor, strengthen regional connectivity and provide fresh momentum for the development of southern Hai Phong's economic zone.
