(April 28, 2026 – 16:37)
In celebration of the 51st anniversary of Liberation of Southern Vietnam 1975 (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and the 72nd anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory 1954 (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2026), the City Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition is organizing a photo exhibition titled “The Country Full of Joy.”
Members of the City Art Council have conducted evaluations of the works submitted to the exhibition.
The exhibition is held in two phases:
• Phase 1: from April 29, 2026 to May 2, 2026
• Phase 2: from May 8, 2026 to May 20, 2026
📍 Venues:
• Exhibition House (No. 1 Nguyen Duc Canh Street, Le Chan Ward)
• Xu Dong Cultural Center (Ton Duc Thang Street, Le Thanh Nghi Ward), Hai Phong
The exhibition introduces to residents and visitors black-and-white photographs depicting the heroic struggle of the people and armed forces of Southern Vietnam during the resistance war against the United States for national salvation. These works reflect the long, arduous journey marked by sacrifice and hardship, as well as the glorious victory of the Vietnamese people and the great national unity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Members of the City Art Council have also reviewed and assessed the submitted exhibition works.
In addition, the exhibition displays outstanding and representative images showcasing the city’s recent achievements across various sectors, including economy, culture, society, national defense, security, healthcare, and education. These highlights affirm the position and role of Hai Phong as a driving force for development in the Northern coastal region and across the country, while also portraying an increasingly modern, dynamic, and internationally integrated urban landscape.
This event serves as an opportunity to strengthen public communication and education on patriotic traditions, national pride, solidarity, and the determination to progress among the Party, government, and people of the city. Through vivid and authentic images of labor, urban construction, infrastructure development, and social welfare, the exhibition helps promote a spirit of creative labor and inspires aspirations for development—contributing to the goal of building Hai Phong into a modern, civilized, and sustainable industrial city.
