On the morning of May 13, 2026, at Doson Resort Hotel, Hai Phong International Tourism Joint Venture Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hai Phong International Conference, Trade and Tourism Center Project — a milestone of special significance for both the company and the development of Do Son and Hai Phong as a whole.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; Mr. Bui Duc Quang; along with current and former leaders of central ministries and agencies, as well as representatives from local departments and authorities.
The Hai Phong International Conference, Trade and Tourism Center Project has a total investment of VND 2.11 trillion (approximately USD 83 million). The project is planned as a modern, high-end complex featuring:
A 5-star hotel with 200 rooms
Commercial and service areas
Premium conference and entertainment spaces
A distinctive landscape ecosystem
A highlight of the project is the hotel block, designed with inspiration from the shape of a gold bar — symbolizing prosperity and sustainable development. The architecture emphasizes soft, modern lines that harmoniously connect interior spaces with nature. Elevated open spaces will provide panoramic views of the sea and sky of Do Son, creating a unique and luxurious experience for visitors.
The project also prioritizes preserving and enhancing existing local values, including the Van Hoa Castle area, Hill 72 landscapes, pine forest ecosystems, and surrounding coastal waters. Commercial zones and boutique outlets are designed to combine elegance, privacy, and natural integration, forming a comprehensive and distinctive tourism-service complex.
The project is expected to elevate the tourism profile of Do Son and Hai Phong on both regional and international tourism maps, while also creating jobs, boosting economic and service-sector growth, and contributing to the development of a modern, culturally rich destination.
Speaking on behalf of the investor, Ms. Doan Tuyet Lan committed to mobilizing all available resources to implement the project with the highest level of responsibility, ensuring progress, quality, safety, and full compliance with legal regulations. She emphasized that each component of the project should meet not only technical standards, but also deliver aesthetic, experiential, and long-term sustainable value.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Kien stated that Hai Phong’s development strategies — particularly under the Resolution of the 1st Hai Phong City Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term — consistently identify Do Son as a future high-quality marine tourism center and a modern, civilized tourism urban area with a strong local identity.
He stressed that, in addition to support from the central government and the city, realizing this vision requires the partnership of committed businesses and strategic investors with long-term
