Attending the conference was Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, who served as the keynote presenter. Representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong, the Hai Phong Department of Home Affairs, the Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs, the city police, standing committee members, executive committee members of the Union, leaders and members of eastern district affiliated organizations, and the Hai Phong Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association also attended.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu called on all officials, members, and affiliated organizations to thoroughly study and grasp the Party’s viewpoints and orientations regarding the nation’s new era of development. He emphasized the need to connect theory with practical work, proactively renew thinking, and apply flexible and creative approaches to improve the quality and effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy.
During the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu delivered an in-depth presentation on the strategic vision and development orientation of the country in the new era. The presentation focused on analyzing the Party’s latest guiding viewpoints, the domestic and international context, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the country today. It also aimed to inspire national pride, aspirations for contribution, and the determination to build a prosperous and happy Vietnam among officials, Party members, and the public.
Through the conference, officials and members of the Union and the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association gained timely updates on the Party’s important new policies and guidelines. The event helped strengthen unity in awareness and action, while encouraging continued innovation in thinking and improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy. It also provided an opportunity for the Union to further promote its role as a bridge connecting overseas Vietnamese communities and international friends, contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Hai Phong and to the cause of national construction and defense.
