The conference was co-chaired by Professor Dr. Le Thi Hop, President of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association; Dr. Bui Thanh Ting, President of the Hai Phong Union of Science and Technology Associations; and Associate Professor Dr. Vũ Thị Loan, President of the City Women Intellectuals Association.
Delegates Attend the Conference
In her opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Thi Loan emphasized that the conference serves as an important forum for policy consultation. Through the event, scientists, experts, managers, and intellectuals exchanged views, discussed, and analyzed key issues such as: the theoretical and practical foundations of the role of intellectuals in developing science, technology, innovation, and high-quality human resources; assessing the current status of Hải Phòng’s intellectual workforce in the new development context; and identifying institutional, policy, and creative-environment barriers.
At the same time, the conference focused on proposing mechanisms and solutions to strongly promote the role of intellectuals in implementing the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. It also explored effective cooperation models among the “State – Enterprises – Society” to build the city’s innovation ecosystem, thereby contributing to strategic policy planning for Hải Phòng’s future development.
At the conference, delegates listened to presentations and discussions by scientists, experts, and managers on many key topics related to promoting the role of Hao Phong intellectuals in achieving breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and human resource development in line with the spirit of the 14th National Party Congress.
The presentations focused on proposing solutions for effectively implementing the city’s special policies on science, technology, and innovation; building an ecosystem to support women intellectuals in innovation based on international experience and lessons applicable to Hai Phong; and promoting scientific research in the social sciences and humanities to help realize the city’s goals of rapid, sustainable, and deeply integrated development.
In addition, delegates discussed solutions for developing high-quality human resources in science and technology; promoting the role of young Hải Phòng intellectuals in innovative entrepreneurship; and proposed numerous measures to enhance the role of Hai Phong women in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
