14th Viet Nam - Thai land Friendship association confernece
This morning, at the City Convention and Performance Center, the 14th conference between the Vietnam–Thailand Friendship Association and the Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Association took place
Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyễn Văn Thành, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Chairman of the Vietnam–Thailand Friendship Association; Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Association, Honorary Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand; and Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam. Mr. Hoàng Minh Cường, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments, sectors, and associations attended the conference.

The conference reviewed last year’s activities, highlighting the proactive implementation of agreements between the two associations through various meaningful and practical programs held in celebration of major anniversaries of both countries, activities organized by the Thai Embassy, business networking events in Lao Cai, the opening of supermarket centers, donations of ultrasound machines, student exchanges, promotion of cooperation between localities, and friendly football matches. Delegates also shared orientations and proposed new cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening people-to-people exchanges, enhancing cultural and educational connections, and supporting the Vietnamese community in Thailand as well as the Thai community in Vietnam. Both sides affirmed their role as an important bridge in the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Thailand, contributing to the consolidation of traditional friendship and practical benefits for the peoples of both nations. The conference also agreed on plans for coordinated activities in the coming year, emphasizing the expansion of youth exchange programs, promotion of local-to-local cooperation, and increased delegation exchanges. Holding the conference in Hai Phong not only demonstrates the high regard of both associations but also creates opportunities for the city to strengthen connections, exchanges, and cooperation with Thai partners across various potential fields. Choosing Hai Phong as the venue reflects the trust and appreciation of the Vietnam–Thailand and Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Associations for the city’s position, reputation, and role in promoting international cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
