Strengthen connections between tourism service businesses, destinations, and foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises within the city.
On the afternoon of March 31, 2026, the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a conference to connect tourism businesses and destinations with FDI enterprises operating in the city.
In 2025, the city welcomed approximately 14.5 million visitors, generating over VND 15,200 billion in tourism revenue. In the first quarter of 2026, Hai Phong is estimated to have received nearly 3 million visitors, with revenue exceeding VND 3,500 billion.
Hai Phong is gradually developing a diverse tourism ecosystem, with strengths in coastal and island tourism in the eastern area and cultural and traditional craft village tourism in the western area, creating favorable conditions for developing distinctive tourism products.
At the conference, delegates discussed the needs of the FDI sector and proposed developing suitable tourism products such as resort tourism, MICE tourism, and cultural–culinary experiences, while also improving service quality to meet international standards.
City leaders emphasized the need to strengthen connections between tourism businesses and FDI enterprises, enhance support mechanisms, address existing challenges, and gradually build a synchronized tourism product chain to improve competitiveness and ensure the sustainable development of Hai Phong’s tourism industry.
