Relic of Kieu Ha communal house and pagoda - red address for educating patriotism
Over the centuries, the historical relic of Kieu Ha communal house and pagoda, An Duong ward, has not only been a religious place for people but also a red address where witnessed the resistance war against French colonialism of the army and people of Hai Phong.

During the years of the resistance war against French colonialism, Kieu Ha communal house and pagoda became a secret base, a place to hide documents and weapons for the revolution. Kieu Ha village was chosen as a resistance base and was considered the key for the struggle against the invaders.
On February 8, 1947, here,  An Duong resistance front suicide squad took an oath and joined training to participate in the struggle. In 1947, Commander of the Inter-provincial Armed Self-Defense Force Tran Thanh directly went to Kieu Ha communal house to encourage and motivate the cadres and soldiers of the suicide squad. On June 25, 1947, the French invaders and their henchmen mobilized many forces to attack Kieu Ha area, arrested and killed 155 innocent people, burned down 101 houses. With deep hatred for the enemy, together with the resistance force, the people of Kieu Ha upheld the spirit of Staying by the side of the revolutionists. Every year, Kieu Ha village takes the 7th day of the 5th lunar month as the common death anniversary in commemoration of the innocent people murdered by the enemy at the local communal house and pagoda.
In recognition of their outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the French colonialists, Kieu Ha villagers were awarded the First Class Resistance Medal by the President. Kieu Ha communal house and pagoda were granted a certificate of city-level historical resistance relic.

Through historical changes, Kieu Ha Communal House and Pagoda have been preserved by the local government and people, so that this place is not only a cultural heritage, but also a "red address" to educate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions.
