Improving quality of marine economy human resources training
In Vietnam’s marine economic development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, high-quality human resources are identified as a key factor. In Hai Phong – the country’s marine economic hub – Vietnam Maritime University is promoting training innovation to improve workforce quality and meet increasing industry demands.

As a specialized faculty within a key maritime training institution, the Faculty of Civil Engineering plays a core role in supplying human resources for maritime infrastructure development. Students can study port works, navigation channels and coastal structures. They also conduct internships in laboratories equipped with modern facilities and engage in field studies at port and marine infrastructure projects in the city.
Other faculties are also implementing synchronized solutions to improve training quality.
