Proposal to create a social housing purchase database on VNEID
In order to shorten the approval process for purchasing social housing, representatives of several enterprises are proposing that the Ministry of Construction grant a “green check mark” on VNEID for individuals eligible to buy social housing.

Currently, the process of reviewing applications for purchasing or leasing social housing still faces a number of obstacles, as the number of applications is many times higher than the available supply. Enterprises are the entities that directly receive applications, sign purchase contracts, collect payments, and hand over the apartments, after which the management agencies conduct post-inspection. In cases where buyers are found to be ineligible after the post-inspection, the revoke of the apartment becomes even more complicated. Representatives of several enterprises have proposed that management agencies take responsibility for reviewing buyer eligibility to ensure transparency. They also recommend building a shared database of individuals eligible to purchase social housing directly on VNeID. If citizens meet the requirements regarding income and housing conditions, they would be granted a “green check mark.” When registering to purchase a home, developers could rely on this “green check mark” to shorten the approval process.
