National Press Festival 2026 concludes successfully: Elevating the courage and professionalism of revolutionary journalism in a new era
On the afternoon of June 21, the Viet Nam Journalists Association, in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong, solemnly held the closing ceremony of the National Press Festival 2026 at the city's Conference and Performance Center. The event was one of the key activities commemorating the 101st anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026).

The ceremony was broadcast live on the television channels and digital platforms of Hai Phong Radio and Television and simultaneously relayed by Viet Nam National Defense Television and broadcasting stations in 15 provinces and cities across the country.
Affirming the Responsibility of Journalists in a New Era
In his closing remarks, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the success of the festival was made possible through the close attention and guidance of the Party, the State, the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, and the effective coordination of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, journalist associations, and media organizations nationwide. He also expressed gratitude to the leadership and authorities of Hai Phong for their comprehensive support in infrastructure, logistics, and security.
Although the National Press Festival 2026 has concluded, its theme—"Loyalty, Creativity, Responsibility"—will continue to guide Vietnamese journalists. Entering a new era marked by both technological opportunities and challenges, journalists are expected to uphold the traditional values of having "clear vision, integrity, and a sharp pen", while continuously innovating to maintain the trust of the Party, the State, and the people.
Honoring Outstanding Organizations and Individuals
A major highlight of the closing ceremony was the announcement and presentation of prestigious awards recognizing the dedication, professionalism, and innovation of media organizations and journalists.
Outstanding Exhibition Booth Awards :9 First Prizes (A), 13 Second Prizes (B),18 Third Prizes (C) ,17 Consolation Prizes 
Outstanding Journalism Product Awards :6 First Prizes (A) ,11 Second Prizes (B), 17 Third Prizes (C),12 Consolation Prizes 
Certificates of contribution was awarded to 13 organizations for their active contributions to the National Press Festival 2026. 
Viet Nam Journalists Association also announced annual commendations for achievements in 2025: Emulation Flags were awarded to 17 outstanding organizations, certificates of merit were presented to 16 organizations for excellence in journalism and association-building activities, certificates of merit were awarded to 63 individual members for outstanding professional achievements and contributions to the association. 
After three vibrant days (June 19–21), the National Press Festival 2026, themed "Vietnamese Journalism – Loyal, Creative, Responsible in a New Era," concluded successfully.
The event brought together nearly 100 central and local media organizations and featured more than 80 exhibition booths. Publications ranging from general-interest newspapers to specialized journals and journalism training institutions provided a vivid picture of Vietnam's economic, political, cultural, social, defense, security, and foreign affairs landscape.
A notable feature of this year's festival was its strong emphasis on technological innovation. Many media organizations demonstrated multi-platform journalism products, artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, 3d modeling technologies, virtual reality (VR) experiences 
These presentations highlighted the rapid digital transformation taking place within Viet Nam's media industry.
The National Press Festival 2026 served not only as the country's largest professional gathering for journalists but also as a showcase of the modernization and digital transformation of Vietnamese journalism. The event reaffirmed the important role of revolutionary journalism in supporting national development while adapting to the demands of a rapidly evolving technological era.
