For the first time, robots and unmanned aerial vehicles, along with more than 1,000 technologies and solutions in fields including artificial intelligence (AI), big data, smart ports, automation, logistics, biotechnology and the green economy, were showcased at Techfest HaiPhong 2026. Numerous experts, researchers and domestic and foreign manufacturers attended the event to seek investment opportunities and connections on research and development of technology products.

21 face-to-face meetings were held, including the signing of four memorandums of understanding on cooperation between South Korean businesses and businesses, cooperatives and research institutes in Hai Phong and neighboring areas.

“I think one of the technologies with the greatest potential for cooperation with Hai Phong and Vietnam is technology related to the green circular economy. For example, technologies applied in post-harvest agriculture could make use of agricultural by-products and waste to recycle them into new products.”
Techfest HaiPhong 2026 has opened a new chapter. With a network of partners, experts, businesses, research institutes and universities, alongside mechanisms and policies being put in place, the city has a stronger foundation for building a substantive innovation ecosystem, helping boost productivity and competitiveness and creating momentum for Hai Phong to become an innovation center of the northern coastal region.
