In the academic year 2024-2025, Hai Phong's education and training sector continues to maintain its top position nationwide. The quality of general education showed further improvement, ranking 6th nationwide in average scores at the 2025High School Graduation Exam and achieving a graduation rate of 99.6%.
The city achieved many outstanding achievements in The field of high-performance sports. Hai Phong hosted 11 national and 1 international competition and participated in 214 domestic and international competitions, winning 1,492 medals of all types, breaking 5 national records, and further affirming its position in Vietnam’s sports.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Hai Phong Sports Delegation excellently fulfilled its mission with an impressive record, exceeding the set target with 24 medals of all types.
At the ceremony, the city honored 225 outstanding students; including 152 students who won international and national awards in cultural subjects, science and technology, and the UPU international letter writing competition; 28 students who achieved high scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam and were admitted to universities and academies in Vietnam and abroad; and 47 valedictorians from universities in the city and from different universities and academies nationwide. In addition, at the ceremony, the city honored 25 athletes and 16 coaches from Hai Phong who achieved outstanding results at the 33rd SEA Games. They are shining representatives for the city’s tradition of studiousness, the spirit of overcoming difficulties, and the aspiration for advancement in the new era.
