Hai Phong customs significantly contributes to the growth of import and export turnover
In 2025, the Customs Sub-department of Region III carried out its tasks amid many intertwined advantages and challenges. With a proactive spirit and efforts, through practical solutions, and the synchronized, decisive, and effective implementation of the State budget revenue collection plan and administrative reform to facilitate trade, the Sub-department has recorded remarkable achievements, especially its great contribution to Vietnam's total import and export turnover of over 800 billion USD this year
By the end of December this year, the Customs Sub-department of Region III processed more than 2.62 million customs declarations (up 17% year-on-year). Total import and export turnover reached over 120 billion USD. Advancing many decisive and synchronized solutions, the Sub-department has completed the State budget revenue collection target for 2025 assigned by the Government. 66.6 trillion VND was fully collected 75 days in advance. Immediately afterwards, the sub-department embarked on intensifying on tax collection, therefore for the first time, surpassed the 80 trillion USD. This demonstrated a testament to the effectiveness of the application of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in all fields.
