Hai Phong City promotes its image as a “Green, Smart and Sustainable Destination” at the Viet Nam International Travel Mart
On the morning of April 10, at the International Exhibition Center ICE Hanoi (Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi), the Vietnam Tourism Association held the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM).
The fair aims to respond to a series of activities within the framework of the National Tourism Year. It is also an annual, professional, large-scale tourism promotion event, serving as a meeting point connecting tourism supply and demand, and creating momentum to boost the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

The fair takes place until April 12, 2026, featuring around 450 booths and more than 600 tourism enterprises from 15 countries and territories, along with 34 provinces and cities across the country showcasing destinations and tourism products. It attracts active participation from domestic and international tourism promotion agencies, airlines, and international tourism organizations, with an expected 80,000 visitors and transactions. In addition, many conferences and specialized seminars on tourism are held.

With the theme “Digital Transformation, Green Growth, Elevating Vietnam Tourism,” VITM 2026 is a practical event aligned with global tourism development trends and Vietnam’s strategic orientation, reflecting the consistent direction of Party and State leaders as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Participating in the fair, Hai Phong organized a booth under the theme “Hai Phong – A Green, Smart and Sustainable Destination.” The booth showcases typical tourism products associated with digital transformation and green growth; presents videos and reports on historical sites, festivals, prominent destinations, and modern tourist areas. At the same time, it promotes tourism online through a smart tourism portal; introduces culture, cuisine, promotional programs, discounts, and the Hai Phong food tour. Tourism enterprises also engage in networking, exchanges, and seeking cooperation opportunities to develop markets.
In addition, the booth displays around 150 images, publications, documents, and promotional videos; introduces two UNESCO-recognized heritage sites: the Cát Bà Archipelago and the Con Sin – Kiep Bạc Complex, contributing to enhancing Hai Phong’s image as a destination.
