Hai Phong City approves series of urban refurbishment projects
The 10th working session of Haiphong People’s Council was crowned with success after adopting a series of key projects related to urban investment, development, and refurbishment, which contributed to improving the quality of people’s lives.
The latest working session of Haiphong People’s Council approved a series of critical projects including the urban refurbishment project of the old Lac Long coach station, the renovation of Nguyen Binh Khiem and Le Loi roads as well as some inner-city roads. The council also adopted the project of investment and the first stage of construction of the square in front of the political-administrative center in the new urban area of the Northern Cam River, contributing to creating a new image for Hai Phong City.
The session also saw the approval of the plan to halt the investment and construction project of the Van My apartment building. Meanwhile, the social housing project at Lac Vien Depot No. 3 has been officially deployed. It is expected to meet the needs of 3.500 households living in downgrade apartment buildings, including those living in the current Van My apartment building. The city People’s Council hopes that all projects will be deployed and put into operation as soon as possible in the future, contributing to turning Hai Phong into a comprehensive and modern city./.
