As the logistics industry faces increasingly stringent demands from global supply chains, green transformation and digitalization are no longer optional but have become an inevitable trend. In Hai Phong, one of Vietnam’s major logistics and seaport hubs, many businesses are proactively investing in technology and optimizing operations in a greener and smarter direction, laying a foundation for sustainable development.
With a factory roof spanning more than 20,000 square meters, this company is aiming to achieve partial energy self-sufficiency through rooftop solar power. At the same time, its warehouse system maximizes natural lighting, ventilation and cooling. Green transformation and digitalization are not simple journeys but require tireless efforts to overcome numerous challenges in the early stages, particularly in terms of costs and changing mindsets.
Currently, many management and operational processes have been digitized. The warehouse management system, vehicle access control and cargo tracking are operated on a digital platform, helping reduce processing times, improve accuracy and lower operating costs.
Resolution No. 08 of the Executive Committee of the 1st Hai Phong Party Committee on the green transformation of Hai Phong for 2026–2030 with a vision to 2050 clearly states that green transformation is a key and ongoing task of the entire political system and the city as a whole. The resolution provides an important orientation for logistics enterprises to take a more proactive approach and intensify efforts toward sustainable development and enhanced competitiveness.
