Centralized customs clearance pilot begins
The Customs Sub-Department of Region III officially began piloting a centralized customs clearance model yesterday. Under the new system, businesses complete customs procedures entirely through electronic platforms, helping reduce processing times and costs while improving customs clearance efficiency.
By 11:00 a.m. yesterday, the system had recorded 392 declarations, including 331 import declarations and 61 export declarations, all of which were received and processed in accordance with regulations. Customs supervision activities at port checkpoints continued as normal.
The first day of the pilot implementation proceeded smoothly and safely, reflecting thorough preparations by customs authorities as well as the proactive cooperation of the business community. The initiative is expected to provide an important foundation for further administrative reform, the development of digital and smart customs services, and support for trade and logistics growth in the next phase.
