In May, the total export turnover in the city was estimated at US$ 561 million, increased 21.55% year-on-year. This is a good sign of the city's export performance since Hai Phong has led the first position for industrial production value for two months continuously. 

The result has brought total export turnover of the city for 5 months in 2017 reached over US$ 2,600 million, up 21.50% over the same period last year and reached more than 42% of the plan this year. Of which, the local economic sector is estimated at US$ 652 million, increased over 13.57% compared with the same period last year; the foreign-invested sector is estimated at over US$ 1.9 billion. 

Major exported products have been aquatic products which amounted over US$ 24.4 million, plastic products were more than US$ 159 million, textiles and garments reached to US$ 151.5 million, shoes and sandals gained over US$ 532 million, fine arts and handicrafts articles achieved almost US$ 50.9 million, electronic commodities were nearly US$ 125 million, wires and cables reached US$ 219 million, other goods were more than US$ 1,355 million ...
