Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City Hoang Minh Cuong hosts a courtesy meeting with a delegation from STC Group (Netherlands)
On the morning of June 10, the Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, Hoang Minh Cuong, hosted a courtesy meeting and working session with a delegation from STC Group (Netherlands), led by Mr. Albert Bos, Chief Executive Officer of STC International

Representatives from several city departments also attended the meeting, including the Departments of Foreign Affairs, Education and Training, Industry and Trade, and the Office of the City People’s Committee.

Welcoming the delegation, Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong expressed his pleasure at receiving the STC Group delegation in Hai Phong.

He introduced the city’s potential and strengths, emphasizing that Hai Phong is the largest seaport city in northern Viet Nam, serving as a key gateway to the sea for the region and one of the country’s most important centers for economy, industry, trade, and logistics.

The city is currently implementing development goals under Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW of the Politburo, aiming to build Hai Phong into a modern, smart, and sustainable industrial city, as well as an international logistics hub and a major center of the regional maritime economy.

With its deep-water international Lach Huyen Port system and rapidly developing network of industrial parks and economic zones, Hai Phong has a growing demand for high-quality human resources in maritime affairs, logistics, port management, multimodal transport, digital transformation, and innovation.

In this context, the city places special emphasis on expanding cooperation with reputable international training organizations to improve workforce quality and meet integration requirements. The Vice Chairman expressed confidence that both sides have strong potential to explore and promote practical cooperation in maritime training, logistics, management capacity building, and the application of modern simulation technologies.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Albert Bos thanked the city leaders for their warm reception in Hai Phong.

He introduced the capabilities and global standing of STC Group as one of the world’s leading organizations in maritime education, training, and human resource development for the port and logistics sectors.

He highly appreciated the strong growth potential of Hải Phòng, noting many similarities between the city and the Netherlands, particularly in maritime advantages and the role of seaports as key international gateways.

With its extensive expertise in international maritime training, STC Group expressed its strong desire to develop long-term cooperation with Hải Phòng in training high-quality human resources, transferring advanced technologies, and contributing to the city’s sustainable development goals and its ambition to become a world-class maritime and logistics center.

At the end of the meeting, the Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong and Mr. Albert Bos exchanged commemorative gifts.
