According to the plan, the related parties strive to complete the project and put it into operation after 12 months from the date the investor is handed over land and granted a construction permit according to regulations.
As of last July, Vietnam Airports Corporation ACV has signed contracts under the project "Expanding the aircraft parking area - Cat Bi International Airport" with a total value of more than 300 billion VND. Currently, the contractor has arranged equipment with a team of technical staff and workers to focus on implementing the work at the site, ready to rush the construction as soon as the next phase of the site is handed over, expected in September.
The expansion of the Cat Bi International Airport's aircraft apron aims to improve operational capacity, reduce overload, ensure flight safety and improve service quality. This is an urgent requirement in line with the goals and orientations for developing aviation transport in Hai Phong in particular and the aviation industry in the country in general; effectively meeting aviation services for domestic and international flights to and from Cat Bi International Airport.
