Progress of the Tam Bac River Refurbishment Project
With a total investment of more than 557 billion VND from the city budget, Phase 2 of the Tam Bac River refurbishment project from Lac Long Bridge to Hoang Van Thu Bridge was determined by contractors as a crucial project for the city’s urban refurbishment. At present, on the construction site, the contractor is focusing on constructing the route from Lac Long Bridge to Hoang Van Thu Bridge, ensuring the schedule.

Contractors are leveling the ground, treating the foundation along the river, and have driven 786/804 piles. They have installed 100% of the embankment piles along the Tam Bac River and 2000/3847 of the soil-cement piles (equivalent to 52%).
The contractors have also essentially completed the water supply, wastewater drainage, and communication systems from Cu Chinh Lan Road to the intersection between Ben Binh Street and Cam Riverside Road. Phase 2 of the Tam Bac River refurbishment project (the section from Lac Long Bridge to Hoang Van Thu Bridge) features an 819-meter embankment pile as a line along the Tam Bac and Cam Rivers. The project, when completed, will facilitate the connectivity and perfecting of the transportation system, the urban refurbishment of Hong Bang district in particular, and the city in general, contributing to building Hai Phong into a smart city.
