Model of fire prevention and fire fighting widely replicated for all people
Over the past time, many fires have broken out nationwide, causing great harm to humans and property alike, especially in business household accommodations. Casualties from fire accidents have been recorded in some other provinces and cities. Hai Phong has suffered from many large fires causing serious losses, and although no casualties were recorded, the property damage was considerable nonetheless.

In order to prevent fires with serious consequences, in addition to strengthening the State’s management of fire prevention and fighting and rescue, the dissemination of laws to reinforce the role and responsibility of all people in fire prevention, fire fighting, and fire rescue is essential. In order to boost the strength of the people in the work against fire disasters, Hai Phong City has implemented the model of "Joint residential groups for fire prevention and fire fighting" and achieved effective results.
The model has had the local areas deploy the campaign "Each family to equip themselves with their own fire extinguisher” at residential quarters. Currently, the model has been replicated throughout the city and the effective results have been periodically reviewed so as to continue developing more new effective models for fire safety, fire fighting, and rescue, as well as promoting the movement of fire prevention and fire fighting among entire people.
