Speaking at the conference, Haiphong Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that to date, agencies, departments, branches, and organizations of new Hai Phong city have been truly stable and fully consolidated in terms of apparatus organization, and human resources to be ready to enter a new page in history of building and developing new Haiphong city. The city's current key task is to focus on socio-economic development, striving to achieve growth target set for 2025, contributing to the country's growth target of 8%. The Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee requested delegates to focus on objectively and comprehensively discussing and assessing the results of the implementation of socio-economic tasks in the past time, clearly identifying difficulties and challenges, thereby proposing suitable solutions, focusing on key tasks, paying attention to solutions to attract FDI capital as well as promoting planning work... Besides, participants are also requested to further focus on building new Hai Phong City Party Committee, on the basis of inheriting the good traditions of two former localities as Hai Duong province and Haiphong city. 

In the first 6 months of this year, in the context of many new, complicated and unprecedented tasks, Party committees at all levels focused on leading and directing Party building and political system, mobilizing the people, boosting socio -economic development, ensuring national defense - security and foreign affairs in a synchronous manner. The two-tier government system promptly came into operation without interrupting work, effectively serving the people and businesses. Haiphong city's socio-economic situation continues to maintain double-digit growth. The city has effectively implemented solutions to improve the investment and business environment, raise the provincial competitiveness index, and implement many large projects in areas such as transportation and urban areas, contributing to raising position and paving the way for socio-economic development of the city./.
