The campaign marks the 25-year history of summer youth volunteering nationwide, taking place from June 1st to August 31st, 2024, with the motto of widespread, effective, safe, and sustainable action, aligned with the political tasks and actual needs of each locality and unit. A new feature of this year's campaign is that Hai Phong will be connected online with three other provinces and cities–Tuyen Quang, Dak Lak, and Hau Giang. The campaign aims to achieve 11 targets, including mobilizing 10 million union members and youth to participate in volunteer activities, building at least one thousand new charity houses, red scarf houses, and boarding houses, planting at least 8 million new trees, and supporting at least 500 thousand children in difficult circumstances. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the activities to respond to the campaign were deployed nationwide, focusing on seven key content lines such as volunteering to build new rural areas, promoting civilized urban areas, supporting the Month of the Army, taking care of children, protecting the environment, responding to climate change, volunteering to help ethnic minorities, volunteering to protect the homeland's sea and islands. The total value of resources mobilized for the central-level launching ceremony exceeded 25 billion VND./.
