In an effort to support taxpayers, the Hai Phong Tax Department has stepped up value-added tax refunds to facilitate businesses expand production and business.
In the first four months of the year, the department processed 292 VAT refund applications with a total requested refund value of more than 3.12 trillion dong. The actual refunded amount reached 3.065 trillion dong.
Alongside accelerating application processing, the Tax Department is promoting information technology applications, implementing electronic tax refunds and improving inspection and supervision to ensure refunds are granted to eligible recipients in accordance with regulations.
Effective tax refund implementation has not only helped ease difficulties for businesses but also created momentum for production, business activities and exports, contributing positively to the city’s economic growth.
