Attending the event were Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association. Representing Hai Phong's leadership were Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council; and Mr. Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong.
The contest was one of the highlights of the National Press Festival 2026 and was held in celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day. The competition attracted more than 40 performances from journalists' associations, media organizations across the country, and delegations from Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. Following several selection rounds, the 15 best performances advanced to the final night. At the conclusion of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the performance “The Journalism Profession I Love” by Son La Newspaper, Radio & Television. Two Second Prizes were presented to Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio & Television for the performance “Hai Phong, My Homeland” and to the Military Radio and Television Center for the performance “Bright Moon over Two Regions.”
