At the meeting, Khampan Phommathat briefed his host on cooperation between the Justice ministries of Laos and Vietnam, particularly their coordination in organizing the seventh Justice Conference of Vietnamese and Lao border provinces. He expressed hope that Hai Phong's leaders would continue supporting closer and more effective cooperation between the city and Lao localities.
Welcoming the delegation, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau said Hai Phong placed strong focus on strengthening and expanding ties with Lao provinces.
He expressed hope that the Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister would continue supporting cooperation between Lao ministries, sectors and localities and Hai Phong in areas including education and training, healthcare, agriculture and the environment, natural resources and minerals, and people-to-people exchanges, thereby contributing to further deepening the comprehensive and effective friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
