Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Justice Minister Hoang Thanh Tung and Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Khampan Phommathat said the border conference mechanism had provided a practical and effective framework for cooperation among local justice and civil judgment enforcement agencies in border provinces, helping ensure people's security, safeguard the border and strengthen the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
Addressing the conference, Hai Phong Party Secretary Le Ngoc Chau said the city attached great importance to preserving and promoting Vietnam-Laos friendship and expressed confidence that the conference would deliver practical outcomes and help deepen cooperation between localities and the justice sectors of the two countries.
In an open and constructive spirit, the two sides agreed to hold the expanded 8th Justice Conference of Vietnamese and Lao border provinces in Laos in 2028.
