Forum on cooperation in green production value chaines
A delegation from Hai Phong, led by Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Do Thanh Trung, attended the Forum on Green Production Value Chain Cooperation on the morning of June 1

The event, themed “Development of Korea-Vietnam Green Industrial Parks and Opportunities for Hai Phong City”. The forum was attended by Mr. Jeong Man-gi, Korean Industrial Federation Forum; Mr. Pham Van Thep, member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority; leaders of several city departments and agencies; and representatives of more than 50 major Vietnamese and South Korean enterprises.
Opening the forum, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Do Thanh Trung said Hai Phong is a key growth driver in northern Vietnam, home to 46 industrial parks and nearly 1,500 foreign-invested enterprises. The city is using green development as a key for transforming its growth model and building a low-emission economy.
Hai Phong is prioritizing the attraction of strategic partners and investment projects in core technologies, clean energy, semiconductors, electric vehicles and the circular economy from South Korea, he added.
Korean Industrial Federation Forum Jeong Man-gi said South Korean industrial parks and businesses have adapted to increasingly stringent environmental and market requirements in response to the global green development trend.
He expressed hope that South Korean and Vietnamese businesses, including those in Hai Phong, would strengthen cooperation, expand production and accelerate the transition toward greener, more environmentally friendly and sustainable production models.
Delegates at the forum also shared experiences in developing green industrial parks, managing carbon data, transforming supply chains and promoting green production, helping expand cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and South Korean businesses and supporting sustainable development.
