At the meeting, representatives of Hateco Group reported an overview of the unit's activities. Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port project has been completed and put into operation since February this year. With a total wharf length of 900m, Hateco Port can simultaneously receive two container vessels with the largest tonnage in the world; connecting direct transportation of goods from Hai Phong, Vietnam to Europe and America, contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese exports. Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau highly appreciated the Group for choosing Hai Phong as an investment destination; contributing to the city's socio-economic development. He affirmed that Hai Phong city is one of the leading localities in the country in terms of growth rate and the completion of synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure. The city has placed focus on prioritizing the development of strategic transport infrastructure, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, seaports and seaport services; logistics, industrial parks, economic zones and urban areas.
