In the first 6 months of this year, Hai Phong City recorded a budget revenue of more than 96,800 billion VND. In which, the former city reached about 77,319 billion VND, an increase of 27.1% over the same period last year. Meanwhile, Hai Duong province reached over 19,500 billion VND, an increase of 35% over the same period in 2024.
 In the total revenue of more than 96,800 billion VND of Hai Phong City after Hai Phong and Hai Duong merger, the domestic revenue reached over 42,300 billion VND, equivalent to 137% over the same period and over 78% of the estimate. Excluding land use fees and land rent of over 24,000 billion VND, some revenue items achieved quite high levels such as: Foreign-invested enterprises reached over 3,300 billion VND, reaching 60.6% of the estimate; Non-state economic sector reached 6,400 billion VND, reaching 107.8% of the estimate and Personal income tax reached 3,130 billion VND, reaching 80.5% of the estimate.
These impressive results demonstrate a great efforts made by all tax officials and civil servants in the context of the whole country carrying out the task of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus. Solutions to prevent revenue loss, reform procedures, strong digital transformation, information transparency and strict control of the Tax sector are the keys to this outstanding growth. Revenues from foreign-invested enterprises, non-state economic sectors and personal income tax all reached high levels.
With a budget revenue of 96,800 billion VND, an increase of about 30% compared to the previous year, exceeding the estimate, creating a solid foundation for the whole year. From  this revenue, Hai Phong will accelerate the implementation of key projects including Lao Cai- Ha Noi- Hai Phong Railway, Southern Coastal Economic Zone, Social Housing, and inter-regional traffic projects. The budget increase in the first half of 2025 demonstrates the effectiveness of tax management mechanism innovation, administrative reform and potential for regional economic development, promising a successful 2025 with bumper revenue in terms of budget, investment and development./.
