According to the Hai Phong Sub-department of Rural Development, the city now has 365 entities participating in the program, including more than 70 companies, 80 cooperatives, eight cooperative groups, five management boards and more than 200 household businesses.
The broad participation has helped expand production, improve product quality and strengthen the market presence of OCOP products.
Businesses, benefiting from stronger management capacity, production standards, food safety practices and market development, have secured products rated between four and five stars.
Hai Phong currently has three companies with products recognized as five-star OCOP products at the national level.
The city has so far recorded more than 900 OCOP product certifications, of which 649 remain valid.
