Mao Dien Commune was established on the basis of merging Tân Trường and Cẩm Đông communes and also nearly 9 km2 and the entire population of Phuc Dien commune. After the merger, Mao Dien commune has a total natural area of over 24km2, including 23 villages and residential quarters, with a population of nearly 50,000 people. The Commune Party Committee has more than 1,500 Party members, divided into 52 Party cells. In the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of the commune focuses on 4 breakthrough tasks of building a solid team of cadres, strengthening land management, administrative reform and mobilizing resources for infrastructure development, striving to basically meet urban criteria by 2030, contributing to building an increasingly civilized and modern locality.
