Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong congratulated on the fruitful success of the Vietnam–Singapore Friendship Association Congress, which took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between the two sides. He emphasized that over the past time, the cooperation relationship between Singapore and Hai Phong City has always been better and better. The city has attracted 52 projects from Singaporean investors with a total investment of more than 2.6 billion USD, typically in VSIP Industrial Park (Thuy Nguyen district). Hai Phong City always welcomes Singaporean investors in fields like green industry, digital transformation, urban management, and renewable energy. To realize these cooperation expectations, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee suggested that the Vietnam–Singapore Friendship Association should continue to popularize the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State, and the city, renovate the method of promoting Hai Phong city to Singaporean partners, enhance people-to-people cooperation, exchanges, and diplomacy activities, clearly demonstrate the role of a bridge in promoting investment, trade, tourism and potential cooperation fields and strengths of the two sides, strengthen connections, share experiences, etc.

The congress elected 30 members for the Vietnam–Singapore Friendship Association’s Executive Board, term 2023-2028.
